5 Sept - Travelling north to the Tip

Stopover at Wenlock river... not a bad spot

 

 

Next, drop in to Fruitbat Falls for a swim

 

 

Followed by overnight camp at Elliot falls

Moving on North to Jardine ferry crossing

Nice waterhole along northern section of OTL

Drop into Mystery creek

and the new(ish) ferry crossing

One of the original Jardine crossing points... no longer used

3 Sep - Recharge at Weipa

Spent a few days at Weipa to get fuel and supplies.

 

Lea wanted to go fishing, 3 large breams and a Trevali!

 

 

Weipa is the largest Bauxite deposit in the world

 

 

 

with nice sunsets on the bay
